Avance de la EuroCon de este año, que se celebra en Suecia en poco más de un mes.

EUROCON 2023: KONFLIKT, UPPSALA, SWEDEN – 8-10th of June 2023 The European Science Fiction Society’s yearly convention is a gathering of mainly European fans of the science fiction and fantasy genres, in fields such as literature, movies, television, comics, animation, and games. This year it is held in Uppsala, Sweden, between the 8 –11th of June. Konflikt is also the annual Swedish national science fiction and fantasy convention - Swecon? The assembled fans of the national convention in 2022 voted to pass this honour and responsibility to Upsalafandom, who will be hosting their third Swecon in just over a decade. THE VENUE The venue for Konflikt is set to be Uppsala University Hall. The main building of the city’s great academic seat was built in the 1880s, and is to this day actively used for lectures, concerts, conferences and celebrations. It was designed by Swedish architect Herman Teodor Holmgren in the Italian renaissance Beaux-Arts style. It’s Grand Auditorium seats 1800 people. Guests of Honour Johan Egerkrans, Swedish illustrator and author Merja Polvinen, adjunct professor in Comparative Literature at the University of Helsinki, Finland Francesco Verso. the Italian author, translator and editor of speculative fiction Martha Wells, the American science fiction and fantasy writer famous for the Murderbot stories. The program There will be multi-track programming throughout all days, with talks, panels, interviews, signings, workshops, and guided tours. The people Meet people from over twenty-five countries who share your interests, and meet artists and authors to be inspired by.
